16:15 kick-off at Al Sadd Stadium

Al Sadd face Al Kharaitiyat in Week 12 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:15 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Saturday, 2nd January, 2021.

Al Sadd go into the game with extra confidence as they topped the table with 29 points at the end of first leg of the tournament. In the process, The Wolves remained as the only unbeaten side so far in the tournament, having drawn two other fixtures.

Al Sadd have nine victories to their credit, the most by any team. They include the wins against holders Al Duhail (3-1 in Week 3, deferred game because of their AFC Champions League engagement) and Al Rayyan (1-0) in the Qatar Clasico in Week 10.

Xavi Hernandez-coached Al Sadd have a goal difference of +28 (37 goals for and nine against).

Al Sadd will be without their prominent stars Akram Afif and Boualem Khoukhi as they are suffering from coronavirus infection. The duo was missing in action during their 1-1 draw with Qatar SC in Week 11.

On the other hand, Al Kharaitiyat’s woes compounded as they are the basement side with only six points (from two victories). The Thunders have lost nine matches, the most by any team, and their goal difference is -17 (eight goals for and 25 against).

Al Kharaitiyat have suffered the most number of defeats (nine).
