18:20 kick-off at Al Ahli Stadium

Al Ahli face Al Arabi in Week 12 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:20 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Thursday, 2nd January, 2020.

Al Ahli are eighth in the league table with 13 points ((four victories, one draw and six defeats). Even though they have the same number of points as Qatar SC, the latter were placed ahead on better goal difference (-3 as against Al Ahli’s -4).

The Brigadiers recently replaced Spanish coach Ruben de la Barrera with Montenegrin Nebojsa Jovovic as they bid to finish in the top half of the table.

And they lost 0-3 to leaders Al Duhail on Jovovic’s debut in Qatar, in Week 11 of the QNB Stars League.

Al Arabi, who drew 1-1 with Qatar SC in Week 11, are placed sixth with 15 points (four wins, three draws and as many defeats). The Dream Team have a goal difference of +6 (19 goals for and 13 against).

Al Arabi have a match in hand as their Week 5 fixture against reigning champions Al Sadd was deferred due to the latter’s AFC Champions League commitment. It will be played on 6th January.

Al Arabi had beaten Al Ahli 3-1 in the first leg.
