Al Rayyan face Al Shahania in Week 10 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 17:10 at the Al Duhail Stadium on Thursday, 7th November, 2019.

Al Rayyan are flying high with 21 points, two less than table toppers Al Duhail. They both are the only unbeaten sides so far in the competition.

Al Rayyan have six victories to their credit, while they drew three matches. The Lions have a goal difference of +14 (21 goals for and seven against).

Uruguayan Diego Aguirre-coached Al Rayyan were held to draws in their first three games. However, they made a strong comeback into the tournament with six consecutive victories, including last week’s 2-0 win over Al Sailiya, and have emerged as hot contenders for the title.

Al Rayyan’s scalps also included Al Sadd in the Qatar Clasico and Al Arabi in the battle famous for diehard fans’ presence in large numbers.

Al Rayyan have QNB Stars League’s joint third-best scorer and Algerian attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi (six goals) in their ranks, alongside Franck Kom, Abdulaziz Hatem, Mohammed Alaaeldin and Fahd Younis.

Al Shahania, on the other hand, are living dangerously in the bottom position with three points that they earned from as many draws. They boast of players like Kesse Amangoua, Ali Ferydoon, Ramin Rezaien, Nigel de Jong, Alvaro Perez and Mustafa Jalal.

Jose Murcia-coached Al Shahania are the only side yet to record a victory in this season’s tournament. They have the worst goal difference too (-14, five goals for and 19 against).
