Will Al Ahli complete a hat-trick of victories? Or will Al Sadd have their way? Those are the main questions doing the rounds as they face off in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League on Saturday, 27th October. The kick-off is at 17:20 at the Al Ahli Stadium.

Al Sadd are back from their AFC Champions League semifinal against Iran’s Persepolis, which the Qatari side lost 1-2 on aggregate after their second-leg game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran on Tuesday.

After nine rounds, The Wolves have played two matches less as their fixtures against Al Khor in Week 5 and reigning champions Al Duhail in Week 9 were rescheduled due to AFC Champions League engagements.

Al Sadd are second in the standings with 17 points, two less than Al Duhail, who have also played two games less.

However, Al Sadd have the most stingy defence, which has conceded only four goals, and have the most goal difference (+28) that is far ahead of nearest team Al Duhail (+15).

Al Sadd, coached by Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira, have registered five wins and two draws.

Al Sadd have scored 32 goals, far ahead of Al Duhail (20). They have a fierce frontline that pumped in 10 goals against Al Arabi in Week 2! And their rivals would be wary of that.

On the other hand, Al Ahli, under Czech Milan Macala, are on a high after achieving back-to-back victories against Al Shahania and Al Arabi.

The Brigadiers are placed sixth with 12 points. They have four wins to their credit, but lost five games to have a goal difference of -5, having scored 14 goals and conceded 19.
