The race to become the QNB Stars League’s top scorer gathered momentum after the Week 3 action.

A total of 19 goals were scored in five matches. The Al Sailiya vs Al Sadd fixture was postponed to 24th September due to the latter’s AFC Champions League second-leg quarterfinal against Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr in Doha, which was played on 16th September.

A number of players displayed outstanding skills and abilities while scoring goals.

Five players have so far scored three goals. They are Hamdi Harbaoui of Al Arabi, Abel Mathias of Al Ahli, Mohamed Benyettou of Al Wakrah, Ahmed Alaaeldin of Al Gharafa and Baghdad Bounedjah of Al Sadd.

Nine players who have netted two goals are Abdelkarim Hassan of Al Sadd, Yousef Msakni of Al Duhail, Mahmoud Al Mawas of Umm Salal, Othman Al Yahri of Al Gharafa, Ahmed Hammoudan of Al Khor, Ahmed Badr Sayyar of Al Sadd, Hernan Gonzalez of Al Ahli, Aron Gunnarsson of Al Arabi and Pierre-Michel Lasogga of Al Arabi.
