The Competitions Department of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and Qatar Football Association’s Competition Committee amended the 2019-20 QNB Stars League schedule.

Accordingly, Week 5 matches have been rescheduled in consultation with the National Teams Management, taking into consideration the AFC Champions League and on request of the Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 whose opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 27th September.

Changes have been made to the following matches:

• Al Gharafa’s match against Al Sailiya has been shifted to Saturday, 28th September.
• Al Arabi's match against Al Sadd has been postponed, due to Al Sadd’s AFC Champions League first-leg semifinal against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in Doha on 1st October.

The following changes have been made in view of Al Sadd’s participation in the AFC Champions League and Club World Cup.

• Al Khor’s match against Al Sadd in Week 7 will also be scheduled later as Al Sadd’s AFC Champions League second-leg semifinal against Al Hilal will be played in Riyadh on 22nd October.
• Should Al Sadd qualify for the AFC Champions League final, their match against Qatar SC in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League will be rescheduled.
• Similarly, should Al Sadd qualify for the Club World Cup final in Doha in December, their match against Al Gharafa in Week 11 will be rescheduled to 24th December.

It may be noted that the QNB Stars League’s Week 5 matches will be played at the Al Arabi and Al Gharafa Stadiums due to the maintenance work at Al Sadd and Al Janoub Stadiums to prepare them for future matches.
