Rui Faria of Al Duhail has been named as the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the months of October & November, 2019.

Under Portuguese Faria, Al Duhail played five matches (Weeks 6 to 10) and won all of them, earning valuable 15 points. The Red Knights are leading the table with 26 points after 10 rounds of action in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League, which has taken a break now.

Al Duhail beat Al Sailiya (2-1), Umm Salal (1-0), Al Gharafa (2-1), Al Sadd (4-1) and Al Khor (3-2) during the period. These victories helped Faria’s men cement their position on top as reigning champions Al Sadd faltered and are lying in the fourth position with 15 points even though they have two matches in hand, deferred due to their AFC Champions League engagements.

Al Duhail even widened the gap with second-placed Al Rayyan from two to four points after the latter were held 2-2 by Al Shahania in Week 10 of the QNB Stars League.

During the period, Al Duhail scored 12 goals and conceded five.

They had 37 shots on target and 22 against.
