Ahmed Alaaeldin of Al Gharafa has been adjudged the QNB Stars League’s best player for the months of August & September, 2019.

The forward played five matches with a total of 481.5 minutes on the pitch.

In the process, he scored five goals to be the joint top scorer, alongside Al Sadd’s Baghdad Bounedjah, and played a crucial role in Al Gharafa’s good run early in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The Cheetahs registsred three victories, one draw and suffered a defeat. They scored a total of 10 goals and conceded five.

Al Gharafa’s victories were against Al Shahania (3-0), Qatar SC (3-1) and Al Ahli (3-1). They drew goalless with Al Rayyan and lost 1-3 to Al Sailiya.

Even though Al Gharafa were tied on 10 points with Al Arabi, the latter were placed third in the league table by virtue of having better goal difference (+7 as against Al Gharafa’s +5).

Ahmed, who gave one assist as well, has been one of the most prominent players of Al Gharafa.

The technical analysis of Ahmed released by STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, showed he made an average of 21.8 passes, of which 15.6 were successful. He scored all his goals from inside the box.

Ahmed was also a part of the victorious Qatar national team at the Asian Cup early this year.
