Qatar Sports Club team is ready to start a new era of success with the Spanish coach Carlos Alós Ferrer who was signed in the off-season.

The 43-year-old has already formed the backroom team and has has detailed chats with the club management over the team's future ambitions and targets.

Ferrer has endorsed the ambitions of the club management to move the team away from the troubles of the negative results it has suffered in the last few years. 

The Spaniard, who succeeded former Argentine national team manager Sergio Batista, has promises to keep in the new QNB Stars League season set to commence next month.

Among the targets for the new coach is Qatar SC's desire to be in the top four or five in the QNB Stars League points standings.

The club management is aware that upgrading of the team in the new season requires great efforts and better capabilities than the previous years. 

Therefore, Qatar SC set about directing their efforts towards rearranging the house, changing the technical staff and looking for good deals to sign quality foreign professionals and local players capable of achieving the team goals.  

With the new season just a month away, the squad continues their daily training at the club's stadium regularly since the beginning of July.

Most of the squad has assembled with coach Ferrer leading charge.

Qatar SC is scheduled to fly out to Spain for a pre-season training camp ahead of the start of the new season next month. Qatar SC are expected to play five friendly matches before returning to Qatar
