Al Arabi head coach was clear to stress the challenge of playing Qatar Sports Club in round 16 of the Qatar Stars League, despite the Kings currently  in the relegation zone.

“We will not underestimate Qatar Sports Club, their position does not represent their quality.” Said the Italian coach at his side’s pre match press conference.

“Our training camp went well in Abu Dhabi. I should expect that we will play with a different style moving forward into the second part of the season.”

Zola was also eager to clear up the recent transfers at Al Arabi. “Firstly I would like to welcome Anwar Diba to the squad. In terms of changing Junior Dutra, this will only happen if I can find an ideal replacement. Javad Nekounam has replaced Rod Fani in the squad. We have time to get our players by the 30th of January.”

Qatar Sports Club head coach Sebastião Lazaroni claimed that is squad is now ready for a relegation dog-fight.

“We have brought in some new players to the squad in Emiliano Vecchio & Rafik Halliche. They are hungry to win, and this is what our side needs based on our position.” Said the Brazilian head coach during his side’s pre match press conference on Wednesday morning.

Lazaroni also had positive words for his own squad. “We have trained hard in the break. Al Arabi are currently a side in transition, I am expecting a positive performance from Qatar Sports Club.”
