Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Umm Salal.

“Umm Salal changed their coach, so they may change their strategy. But we will not be bothered by it and we will work to prepare the team to win.

“We have a new team of young players. For this, we have developed a plan to improve performance and compete more in the future. Simultaneously, we are dealing with the games one at a time. In short, we are on the right track.

“When I came here, everyone was talking about the competition between Al Sadd and Al Duhail, but I found that there are other teams offering stiff resistance and one such side are Al Gharafa.

“We work to help players perform in a better way, so they understand that football is not just about running, but also played in mind,” said Jokanovic.
