Al Ahli coach Ruben de la Barrera spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Sailiya.

“We know that Al Sailiya are a good team, but we focused on correcting the mistakes that we made in our game against Al Arabi in the opening week, that resulted in us losing points.

“Crosses were our main problem against Al Arabi. But then, we can’t call them mistakes. Some individual mistakes too happened. Anyway, we’re trying to fix them.

“I’ve complete confidence in our professional players. They’ve quality. Just because we lost to Al Arabi, there were talks about our professionals. We’ve a very good bunch of players and we’ve confidence in them. They need more time.

“Our game against Al Sailiya is like the rest of games, we’ll work to win three points. There’ve been teams that lost the first three games, but still made a comeback. If we lose, we’ll work more to correct our mistakes,” said Barrera.
