Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Qatar SC.

“Our goal is to be back among victories as we face Qatar SC in the 10th  round of QNB Stars League. We will work to get three points. The league has changed a lot and become stronger, we must not repeat mistakes that occurred in our games against Al Rayyan and Al Duhail.

“My team has the ability to regain the lost ground following our loss to Al Duhail. Baghdad (Bounedjah) is doing well and I am happy with his performance. And also with Akram Afif. They have not been so lucky in the recent games and they are some of the best players.

“We lost to Al Rayyan and Al Duhail, but we are still in the reckoning and we will work to achieve our target of winning the league and competing for every title this season.

“The forthcoming Club World Cup demands special preparations from our side. We are motivated to compete in this important tournament and we will start our preparations in the coming days,” said Xavi.
