The stage is set for the final group matches of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup. The Round 5 fixtures will be played on Friday, 6th December (three matches in Group A), and Saturday, 7th December (three matches in Group B).
All six games will kick off simultaneously at 18:10.
The fixtures are Al Ahli vs Al Wakrah at Al Shamal Stadium, Umm Salal vs Al Shahania at Al Khor Stadium and Al Rayyan vs Al Sadd at Al Wakrah Stadium on Friday (Group A), Al Sailiya vs Al Gharafa at Al Wakrah Stadium, Qatar SC vs Al Khor at Al Khor Stadium and Al Arabi vs Al Duhail at Al Shamal Stadium on Saturday (Group B).
Al Ahli (nine points), Al Wakrah (eight points) and Al Rayyan (seven points) booked their berths in the knockout quarterfinals from Group A.
The fight is between Al Sadd (four points) and Umm Salal (three points) for the remaining quarterfinal berth from Group A. Al Shahania (one point) are out of contention.
Al Ahli defeated Al Shahania 2-1, Al Wakrah beat Al Rayyan 1-0 and Al Sadd played out a 2-2 draw with Umm Salal in Round 4 group action.
Al Khor (10 points), Qatar SC (10 points) and Al Arabi (six points) progressed to the quarterfinals from Group B after the fourth round.
The battle for the remaining quarterfinal berth from Group B is open among Al Gharafa (two points), Al Duhail (two points) and Al Sailiya (one point).
Al Khor beat Al Sailiya 2-1 and Qatar SC defeated Al Duhail 1-0, while Al Gharafa played out a 1-1 draw with Al Arabi in Round 4 group action.
The Ooredoo Cup, formerly QSL Cup, provides younger players with more playing time and exposure. The tournament, which has a group-cum-knockout format, offers new opportunities for sponsors, partners and supporters to highlight their brands.
The top four sides from each group progress to the knockout quarterfinals.
