Al Ahli face Al Wakrah in Round 5 (Group A) of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup at the Al Shamal Stadium on Friday.

Al Ahli qualified for the knockout quarterfinals following their 2-1 win over Al Shahania in the fourth round, along with Al Wakrah and Al Rayyan. They are topping the group table with nine points.

The Brigadiers have a goal difference of +1 (nine goals for and eight against).

Al Ahli had registered victories against Umm Salal (2-0) and Al Sadd (4-3), but suffered a 1-4 defeat at the hands of Al Rayyan.

Al Wakrah are second in the group with eight points. They have two victories to their credit (5-1 against Al Sadd in the first round and 1-0 against Al Rayyan in the last round).

The Blue Wave were held goalless by both Umm Salal and Al Shahania in between. They have a goal difference of +5 (six goals for and one against).
