Al Wakrah take on Umm Salal in Round 2 (Group A) of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup at the Al Ahli Stadium on Friday.

Al Wakrah are topping the group with three points on better goal difference as Al Rayyan and Al Ahli too have the same number of points.

The Blue Wave have a goal difference of +4 as against Al Rayyan’s +3 and Al Ahli’s +2.

Al Wakrah defeated Al Sadd 5-1, while Umm Salal lost 0-2 to Al Ahli in the first round.

Umm Salal, Al Shahania and Al Sadd are placed fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in Group A.

Al Wakrah are coming from a 2-1 victory over Al Ahli in Week 10 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League, whereas Umm Salal crashed to their seventh defeat when they went down 0-2 to Al Gharafa to be precariously placed 11th in the standings with five points.

Al Wakrah are eighth in the QNB Stars League table with 12 points.
