Al Duhail face Al Khor in Round 2 (Group B) of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Saturday.

Al Duhail are third in the group and Al Khor fifth. Qatar SC are leading Group B with three points, followed by Al Gharafa, Al Duhail, Al Arabi, Al Khor and Al Sailiya in that order.

Al Gharafa, Al Duhail, Al Arabi and Al Khor have one point each, while Al Sailiya have yet to open their account.

Al Duhail played out a 2-2 draw with defending champions Al Gharafa, while Al Khor drew 1-1 with Al Arabi in Round 1 of the Ooredoo Cup.

It may be recalled that Al Duhail had lost 0-1 to Al Gharafa in last edition’s final.

Al Duhail are in fine form in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The Red Knights are the table toppers with 26 points with an unbeaten record that they share with Al Rayyan. On the contrary, Al Khor are struggling in the 10th place with five points.

Interestingly, Al Duhail defeated Al Khor on the latter’s home turf last week before the QNB Stars League took a long break after 10 rounds of action.

So, this is going to be a repeat clash between the teams in successive weeks at the same stadium.
