Al Arabi face Al Sailiya in Round 2 (Group B) of the 2019-20 Ooredoo Cup at the Al Wakrah Stadium on Saturday.

Al Arabi, who will be without some players currently doing national duty, are fourth in the table and Al Sailiya last.

In the opening round, Al Arabi played out a 1-1 draw with Al Khor, whereas Al Sailiya lost 0-4 to Qatar SC.

Al Sailiya were the only team to have suffered defeat in Round 1 as Al Duhail drew 2-2 with Al Gharafa in the other fixture.

Qatar SC are leading Group B with three points, followed by Al Gharafa, Al Duhail, Al Arabi, Al Khor and Al Sailiya in that order.

Al Gharafa, Al Duhail, Al Arabi and Al Khor have one point each, while Al Sailiya have yet to open their account.

Al Arabi and Al Sailiya both are on 14 points in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League, which has taken a long break after 10 weeks of action. However, Al Arabi are placed fifth, behind Al Duhail, Al Rayyan, Al Gharafa and Al Sadd in that order, on better goal difference (+6 as against Al Sailiya’s -2).

Interestingly, Al Sailiya scored a 2-1 win over Al Arabi in the QNB Stars League last week.
