Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchez spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 17 match against Al Gharafa.

“We have another very important match against Al Gharafa. At this stage, we need to achieve points in every match if we want to get closer and put pressure on Al Duhail.

“We are tied on points with Al Gharafa, so we realize that this match will be decisive in the course of the league, and we are looking forward to it with great enthusiasm.

“We are confident that we will reach the match with the best physical readiness. Of course, our last match was like a final in order to stay in the competition for the title and I expect the next match against Al Gharafa to be of the same importance. If we want to compete for the title until the end, it is necessary to achieve a positive result on Thursday and this is what we are currently focusing on.

“We know that the schedule of matches in the coming weeks will be crowded, especially with our participation in AFC Champions League Elite, but at the moment, our main focus is on the Al Gharafa match because it is of great importance to us,” said Sanchez.

Al Sadd player Rafa Mujica said, “The match will be very difficult and we have to give everything we have in order to achieve victory and collect the three points.

“The competition for the title will remain difficult until the last moment and we will do our best until the end, but we are excited, and if we avoid mistakes, we have a chance to win the title.”
