Al Khor coach Mehdi Nafti spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 16 match against Al Shamal.
“If you look at the standings, you will see that the team is in a very difficult situation, the players are working hard and there is a lot of work to get out of this difficult stage, and they have high spirits and morale.
“Perhaps the results may not be fair to us in terms of the performance we are presenting and we are always trying to develop to get positive results. Our focus was on how to correct the mistakes we made against Al Arabi and we worked on correcting that to face Al Shamal.
“We have a distinguished group of players and we must find the best system to play with against Al Shamal. Our goal now is to win the upcoming matches which are like finals,” said Mehdi Nafti.
Al Khor player Khaled Radwan said, “There are many additions to the team and we can see that the team has developed greatly in the offensive aspects, and we must now work more in the defensive aspect. Everyone is optimistic and working hard and we will take advantage of all opportunities to get out of this area.
“We studied Al Shamal well and worked on their weaknesses, and our preparations were excellent and we enter all matches as finals.”
