Al Ahli coach Igor Biscan spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 16 match against Al Arabi.

“The importance of the match stems from Al Ahli’s need to return to the path of victories in the league after the recent stumble against Qatar SC and then continue the club’s journey for the season by gaining more points and advancing in the league table.

“I am working to make Al Ahli at their best against Al Arabi due to the strength of the competition and the importance of achieving victory. It is very necessary for Al Ahli to return more focused and stronger in order to achieve its goal on the field.

“We will be ready for the match and our players are looking forward to presenting a distinguished technical level and high performance that will achieve the three points for the team,” said Biscan.

Al Ahli captain Jassim Mohammed said, “We presented a good level in the last match against Qatar SC, but did not succeed in reaching the opponents’ net and received three goals that cost us the match points.

“We have the ability to win matches, but sometimes we are not successful, so we, as players, must make more efforts and correct the team's path in the league so that we can return to achieving victories.”
