The Qatar Stars League participated along with Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in co-operation with United Development Company (UDC) in the activities of National Sports Day, which falls on the second Tuesday of February, at the Gewan Island (Golf Club) - The Pearl. A number of officials from the participating entities, staff and their families, and players from Ooredoo Stars League clubs attended.
The activities, which included a Walkathon from the Crystal area, distinctive games for children and mini golf, drew a lot of attention from all participants.
On the occasion, Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of QSL, said, “As part of our participation in the Sports Day, a wonderful annual initiative, we’re pleased to co-operate with SC and UDC to emphasize the importance of practising sports and contributing to promote healthy lifestyles. We look forward to this day full of vitality and activity as an incentive for everyone to practise sports throughout the year and not just on the Sports Day, one of the most important goals of which is promotion of the concept of community sports by expanding the base of participation in various sports activities.”
