Al Khor coach Mehdi Nafti spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 15 match against Al Arabi.
“We have a new team, we changed nine players.. The new players made a great addition to the team psychologically, tactically and technically as if we feel that we are at the beginning of the league.
“Everyone feels responsible and we will work hard to get out of this difficult situation, and we have prepared well to face Al Arabi.
“There were talks between the Tunisian federation and I to take over the training of the Tunisian national team, but it is not logical for me to leave Al Khor after all these great efforts during the transfer period, and I respect my contract with the club and everyone here works hand in hand to stay in the Ooredoo Stars League,” said Mehdi Nafti.
Al Khor player Ibrahim Mohammed said, “We are able to fight and stay in the Ooredoo Stars League, the small details are what will make the difference and everyone is ready for that.
“We are ready to face Al Arabi and there are strong and big additions to the team and we need to win and get the three points in this match. We have a good team but sometimes the results are not in your favour. We are working hard and diligently to get out of this stage and we do not deserve this position.”
