Al Duhail coach Christophe Galtier spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 11 match against Al Khor.
“As you know, this match is the last in the first leg and it is of course important to win it and continue the series of victories. Of course, there is a big difference between the two teams, but these matches can be deceptive and we must be focused and deal with the match seriously.
“We played a great match against Al Arabi and achieved a big win, but we must start the match against Al Khor with all seriousness in order to collect the full points of the match.
“We must work seriously and focus in such matches, and as I mentioned, the match is not easy and we learned a lesson from the Al Khor and Al Sadd matches after Al Khor scored two consecutive goals despite Al Sadd’s return, but we must benefit from such situations and learn the lesson and impose our style in order to win the league.
“I always focus and feel happy with the team, it is certainly something to be proud of that my name was nominated to lead the Qatar national team, but the federation did not contact me, I confirm that my focus is currently with the club,” said Galtier.
Al Duhail player Mohammed Ayash said, “Our match against Al Khor is the last match of the first leg and we are definitely striving to achieve victory and continue the team's winning streak.
“I would like to thank the technical director for praising my performance, of course I suffered at the beginning of the league due to the lack of participation. But my participation in the two QSL Cup matches benefited me a lot and made me more ready for the upcoming matches.”
