Al Shahania coach Alvaro Mejia spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 11 match against Al Gharafa.

“This is the last match in the first leg and Al Gharafa are one of the best teams in the league. We are coming from a victory over Qatar SC, and the team is ready and we have trained wonderfully during the past period, and we will do our best to achieve a positive result against Al Gharafa.

“Al Gharafa are not an easy team and are one of the best teams in the league.

“We know that all the teams are close to each other, Al Gharafa are a very strong team and we seek to provide the best and achieve a positive result,” said Mejia.

Al Shahania player Moaz Al Wadi said, “We gave a great performance against Qatar SC and got three important points and we will play against Al Gharafa, considered as one of the best teams, and we in Al Shahania are ready and have big goals in the league, as the difference in points between the teams is small. This match has a special focus and the victory gives us progress in the standings, so we will play to achieve victory.

“The recent victory over Qatar SC gave the team a kind of motivation and made the team atmosphere wonderful. Everyone is happy with this victory, from players to technical and administrative staff.”
