Al Arabi face Al Wakrah in Week 9 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al Arabi club on Saturday, November 25, 2023. The kick-off is at 5.30pm.

Returning to the league championship action, both teams would look for a robust kickstart and aim to bag the three valuable points. The contest is therefore expected to be lively and exciting.

Al Arabi, currently in eighth position in the rankings with six points, are aiming to climb back following a few reversals in the previous rounds where they lost 4-5 to Al Gharafa and 2-3 to Al Ahli.

Al Arabi have a number of distinguished players, but their results have been inconsistent so far this season. Their coach Younes Ali will seek for his side to pull up their socks and make a fightback to outperform Al Wakrah, who are third in the standings with 17 points.

Thus far, Al Arabi have lost three games, tied three and won one match. They have a postponed game in hand. The Dream Team will therefore push harder for positive results and hope to gain a second win of the season.

Younes would want his players to deliver the goods, most notably Rafinha Alcantara, Omar Al Somah, Simo Keddari, Yousef Msakni, Abdullah Marafi and Jassim Al Hail, among others.

Meanwhile, Al Wakrah, who are experiencing one of their best periods and have been performing strongly, will be wary of the opposition, given Al Arabi’s desire to win.

Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez relies on the morale of his players and their aim to continue the winning run after they beat Qatar SC 1-0 in Week 8.

The coach relies on a strong team, which includes players like Mohamed Benyettou, Hamdi Fathi, Jacinto Dala, Lucas Mendes, Ayoub Assal, Hazem Shehata and others.
