Qatar SC face Al Markhiya in Week 7 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The kick-off is at 7.30 pm.

Having registered their opening wins of the season in the previous round, both sides will be eager to sustain the momentum and look to score another positive result and clinch three more valuable points.

While Qatar SC beat Al Ahli 4-2 in Week 6 to raise their tally to five points and be eighth in the table, Al Markhiya defeated Al Shamal 2-1 to log their first points. Al Markhiya, however, are still 12th in the rankings with three points – same as Al Shamal and Al Ahli, but behind on goal difference.

Qatar SC came up with a strong and distinguished display in their last match. They are now coached by Portuguese Helio Sousa, who replaced Youssef Safri.

Al Markhiya too have gained in confidence and have a rising morale after their good show against Al Shamal under their new coach Madjid Bougherra.

The meeting of Qatar SC and Al Markhiya is therefore expected to produce an exciting battle with the teams relying more on attack given their strong forward line.

Qatar SC are served by striker Sebastian Soria and Brazilian Bruno Tabata, who has scored four goals so far in the tournament, among other notable players.

For Al Markhiya, striker Yusupha Nije, who scored three goals in the tournament, leads their attack, along with Driss Fettouhi and others.
