Muaither coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 6 match against Al Gharafa.

“A difficult match awaits us against Al Gharafa, who have a good coach and distinguished players. And they are performing well in the league championship and we take that into account. But we will make every effort to get back on the right path, especially after we suffered a loss in the last round against Al Ahli in the league.

“The team is training as usual and with the same approach. We intensified preparations to the highest levels for all players to reach the required readiness that will enable us to go into the Al Gharafa match in the best condition.

“I appreciate the support of the Board of Directors and those who love us always, and this gives us the motivation to keep performing well and rectify mistakes,” said Murcia.

Muaither player Abdulrahman Rashid said, “The competitors are strong and are performing well in the league. They have players who make the difference, but I trust in the abilities of my teammates. We are preparing day after day until we reach the required readiness to enter the match with strong motivation.

“We will focus on the team’s strengths and try to exploit Al Gharafa’s weaknesses. We must also cash in on the opportunities that come our way.

“We will work hard to provide a strong performance and reach seven points, which will put us in a fairly good position.”
