Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 22 (final round) match against Al Sadd.

“A big match awaits us against Al Sadd at the end of the league, as this confrontation enjoys a lot of excitement and challenge, not because it is crucial for the league title, but because the two teams will meet again in the Amir Cup final.

“Al Arabi and Al Sadd matches are always characterized by strength, excitement and competition, so it will not be an easy match, especially in such difficult circumstances for the two teams.

“Our goal is always clear, which is to win three points, present our best, and present a show worthy of us, regardless of the opponents, and this match has special circumstances, which makes it of great importance, especially to the large number of Al Arabi fans who will be present at the match.

“We do not want to put the players under pressure. We will go into the Al Sadd match to win three points.

“Our fans have a great influence on the matches and their presence is important, especially with the end of the season. We can achieve a lot with their presence and support,” said  Younes.

Al Arabi player Abdullah Al Muraisi said, “Everyone understands the importance of our next match and we must be confident to achieve our goal in the match, especially as it will be a strong rehearsal for the Amir Cup final.

“Al Sadd matches are always special and it will be difficult for both teams, but we are fully prepared and will do our best to win.”
