Al Shamal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Markhiya.

“An important match against Al Markhiya, during which we seek to achieve a positive result.

“Everyone knows the difficult situation that the team is going through in the league table and therefore our goal is to achieve a positive result and stay away from the danger zone.

“Every player in the team is aware of the responsibility in him and I have great confidence in them.

“We are ready at the technical level as well as at the players’ level and the squad is full for the match. There are no absences, unlike the last match in which we suffered from some absences,” said Wesam.

Al Shamal player Mohsen Al Yazidi said, “The Al Markhiya match is very important for us in order to correct the situation in the league table.

“We lost the last two matches and we are seeking to compensate in the Al Markhiya match in order to be back on the winning path and collect the maximum number of points in the coming period to move away from the danger zone.”
