Al Shamal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 22 (final round) match against Al Duhail.

“The Al Duhail match is crucial and we hope that we will live up to our expectations in order to achieve our goal of staying in the league.

“I am confident that our players will have the fighting spirit and they are fully aware of the responsibility entrusted to them and know the importance of this match.

“Of course, the game will be difficult against a great team full of stars and they seek to be crowned. At the same time, we have our goals that we seek to achieve,” said Wesam.

Al Shamal player Ali Olwan said, “A very crucial match for us, during which we will strive to win and collect the three points in order to stay in the league.

“We realize that our task will not be easy against a team like Al Duhail, who have players at the highest level, but that will not prevent our desire to win.

“Al Duhail seek to win the league and we strive to survive, therefore we are expecting a tough game.”
