Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Gharafa.
“Facing Al Gharafa is difficult and very important because our team is going through a difficult period and a critical situation, especially without victories. We must continue to work diligently and focus on the upcoming matches in order to get out of this bad situation that we suffer from. We have not scored only six goals in 10 matches (the least by all teams) and this is a very weak number that shows the extent of the problem we are in. I hope it will be solved against Al Gharafa and that we will be at the required level.
“We need to translate opportunities into goals. It is not difficult to achieve positive results. We only need to score goals. We saw in the last match against Al Ahli that we had many opportunities and a penalty kick. A penalty that was not used correctly and no one looks at the performance or the level, because the important thing in football is the result and the three points. We must find a solution to the problem of not scoring goals,” said Trabelsi.
Al Sailiya player Mohammed Salah El Neel said, “Facing Al Gharafa is of great importance and we need to win it to get a morale boost that helps us and restores confidence in us. That is what we need to win in order to get out of this difficult situation.
“We will fight until we can get a positive result and get the three points. We know that we are going through difficult circumstances, but we are working to get out of this situation with the technical and administrative staff.”
