Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Gharafa.

“Everyone is happy with the result and performance of our last match against Al Arabi, especially the physical efforts, the winning mentality, the will and determination with which the players appeared to win the winning points, which gave us great confidence.

“The matches of the last rounds of the league are always close in timing, and for us we need to prepare with the same seriousness always, with the same enthusiasm and determination to achieve victory.

“It will be a difficult match against Al Gharafa, a great team that has a strong midfield and attack, and the important thing here is to maintain focus, especially since our preparations took place in a positive atmosphere and everyone wants to continue achieving positive results,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Bashar Resan said, “We are ready to face Al Gharafa and our preparations took place in a positive atmosphere in an effort to achieve another positive result after beating Al Arabi in the previous round. On the instructions of the technical staff led by Youssef Safri to achieve the desired results, our team is witnessing a gradual development in the level of performance for the better from one match to another. This was evident in the last three matches. We were at an excellent level of performance and we did not deserve to lose, so we have to focus more. Thankfully, in the last match we combined performance and result.”
