Al Khor coach Andre Lima spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Qatar SC.

“The players are ready for this match. We cannot say that there is negative energy in the team after the Al Sadd match. We created many chances, about seven or eight, and this is not easy against a strong team like Al Sadd.

“What we achieved against Al Sadd is a positive thing because it is difficult to create many chances against strong teams. The players gave off a lot and we almost capped the efforts by scoring many goals. Now we have to turn the chapter and focus on the Qatar SC match and translate the opportunities into goals.

“We have a lot of points that we must work on and develop, be in defence or midfield or attack, and how the ball turns from defence to attack.

“Our preparations are going on well, the players are confident in themselves and we will play against a strong team, which is Qatar SC,” said Lima.

Al Khor player Shebib Al Mohannadi said, “The loss against Al Sadd did not affect us much and you will see a different performance against Qatar SC in our next match.

“Our preparations were excellent with the coach, we worked to overcome our mistakes and also worked on how to keep the ball and not make individual mistakes that might reduce our focus in the match.”
