Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League match against Qatar SC postponed from Week 13.

“We will play against a team that is going through a good period, they defend well and are organized, achieved good results in the league and Amir Cup. We are ready for a difficult match and are ready to give off our best.

“We have to have the mentality of getting the three points in every game, we really need it and I think this is the best mentality for us.

“Certainly, the next matches may be more difficult than before, we play every 3-4 days and the players do not have the time required to recover and prepare in the same way for each match, but this is the championship and this is the situation we live in and we have to be prepared for that,” said Gracia.

Al Sadd player Tareq Salman said, “It is an important match against a team that has developed and improved a lot in the last three rounds, and we are very excited to win.

“The match is very important for us, and winning it will bring us a great deal closer to winning the title, and we will only have the Al Ahli match to decide the title officially.

“The team has more than 23 distinguished players and the coach can give most players the opportunity to rotate during the pressure of matches, and this helps us in the continuity of victories.”
