Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 5 match against Al Sadd.
“My team’s preparations have gone well, just the way we wanted to get ready for the clash against Al Sadd. The morale is high especially after the victory over Qatar SC in the last round. We know we have another difficult match ahead of us in a short period of time. The training sessions went well and we spoke about the errors that we made in the last match.
“Certainly, the matches between the two teams are always special. Regardless of the outcome of the match, we will face a difficult team in Al Sadd, which has top players, a great coach and they have been giving strong performances in the new season. Even their backroom staff work like a well-oiled machine.
“We will play the Al Sadd match with the same team formation like we did in the previous match. We will have the same names with us though we have a couple of absences to look after. Marc Muniesa and Ahmed Suhail continue to be away and we hope that they will return quickly to the team’s ranks,” said Younes.
Al Arabi player Mohammed Badr Sayyar said, “It will be a difficult match for us and them also. Every match has its own features. The two teams have good players in their ranks. Al Sadd are a strong team and we will try to be a strong challenge for them.
“As I said earlier, it will be a difficult match for the two teams and we hope to provide a high technical level for the fans to enjoy. It will be a great match between the two teams but I feel victory will be our friend in the end.
“Everyone has been giving 100 per cent in training. We have been implementing the coach’s instructions and we hope to continue in this vein.”
