Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Ahli.
“We are expecting a difficult game against an organized team that achieved distinguished results this season and put up good performances.
“Al Ahli’s recent match with Al Sadd is not a measure of their strength and does not show their true image. Therefore, it is necessary to be well-prepared to tackle them.
“What makes the Al Ahli match more difficult is that it is important for us, during which we are interested in achieving the victory and collecting the three points in order to take another step forward in the standings and move away from the danger zone.
“We are ready for the match and the team’s ranks are complete. I have great confidence in our players and their ability to achieve a positive result after they took responsibility in the Al Khor match and showed promise,” said Hisham.
Al Shamal player Mohammed El Sayed said, “We know how difficult the match will be against a strong opponent, but we aspire to achieve a positive result and continue victories after the recent victory over Al Khor.
“We achieved a valuable victory over Al Khor after great efforts by the technical staff, players and, of course, the club's management, and we hope to continue the march.
“We have three matches in the league and we strive to achieve positive results through which we can reach our desired goal.”
