Al Arabi and Al Khor were locked in a 1-1 draw in Week 20 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Thursday.

Omani player Juma Al Habsi scored for Al Khor in the 30th minute. Valentin Adama scored the equaliser for Al Arabi in the 78th minute.

Al Arabi now have 30 points, whereas Al Khor have 13 points and face relegation threat.

Al Arabi had beaten Al Khor 2-0 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.

Al Khor started off strongly on their home turf and cheered on by their fans. Saeed Brahimi almost scored in the eighth minute with a good shot from outside the penalty area that went near the right post of Al Arabi goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada.

On the half-hour mark, Al Habsi took Al Khor ahead by scoring off a cross from the left by Brahimi.

The second half was more exciting. While Al Khor played more defensively, Al Arabi intensified pressure with more attacks along the flanks. Substitute Abdulqadir Ilyas almost scored the equaliser in the 65th minute with a powerful shot, but was saved by Harib Al Saadi on the goalline.

Al Arabi threw everything into attack as the game wore on and created many opportunities, but were not lucky. Finally, Adama did score the equaliser with a header amid a goalmouth melee after Al Khor goalkeeper Ali Nader stabbed Aaron Boupendza’s lob into play.
