Al Wakrah defeated Umm Salal 4-0 in Week 20 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Sadd Stadium on Thursday.

Omid Ebrahimi (12th-minute penalty), Hazem Shehata (24th minute) and Omar Ali (83rd-minute penalty and 90+3) scored the goals.

Al Wakrah, with their 11th victory, moved on to 37 points, while Umm Salal crashed to their fourth successive defeat (seventh overall) and remained on 25 points.

Umm Salal had beaten Al Wakrah 4-1 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.

Al Wakrah went into the match on a high, having defeated Al Gharafa 3-2 in Week 19.

Omid started the scoring act by converting a penalty kick for Al Wakrah, who were the dangerous side.

Umm Salal could not make any serious threats to the rival goal initially.

Al Wakrah continued their dominance scored for a second time through Hazem, who exchanged the ball with Mohamed Benyettou before finding the mark.

Umm Salal did not have any major opportunities in the second half even as Al Wakrah missed some chances.

Then came the two goals by Omar Ali and Al Wakrah cruised to an easy win.
