Al Rayyan coach Nicholas Cordova spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al  Markhiya.

“Al Markhiya are a good team, offering distinguished levels during this period, and it is giving its best during the matches. A good match, giving our best, and at the same time we will rely on the young players, and I am happy with what they are doing.

“The most important thing is to focus on the team and the players who are present, to provide our best in training and matches, and to prepare the team as best as possible to achieve the desired result, and then we hope to make up for the absent players. This is something we aspire to in the future, but currently our full focus is on the existing group to prepare the team in the best way to get the three points.

“Winning this match is a necessary thing for us to stop the negative results and start a new stage. We presented good levels in the past matches, but this was not enough to win, and everyone spoke that the team was providing good levels, but it was not enough, the most important thing is winning on the field,” said Cordova.

Al Rayyan player Ali Malallah said, “The match against Al Markhiya will be strong and we will look to get the three points. We will implement the coach's instructions to win despite the difficulty of the match.

“The Al Markhiya team is difficult, offering good levels, and we are at the bottom of the table and we aspire to get out of this situation, so we will give off our best, and we are waiting for the fans to support us, to get the three points.”
