Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Sadd.

“A strong game awaits us against a big and organized team that we respect. Our goal is to achieve a positive result, especially since we lost the last two matches, and it is difficult to accept a third defeat. So we will do everything in our capacity to achieve the desired result.

“The players are up to the responsibility and are determined to achieve a positive result.

“All our players, except Majed Mohammed who suffered a slight muscle injury, are ready. I hope our fans will attend the match at the stadium to encourage the team and support the players,” Hisham Zahid.

Al Shamal player Ali Alwan said, “Our goal is to win and get the three points, especially since we lost in the last two rounds. Therefore, there is no alternative to victory and thus be back on the right track.

“Al Sadd are a great and respected team and we are well aware that facing them will not be easy. They have players at the highest level, but we are determined to achieve a good result so that the team does not fall behind in the league table.”
