Umm Salal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Gharafa.

“All league teams are now an open book and know each other, and from here you find each team playing against their opponents and they know everything about it. Therefore, the Al Gharafa match will be strong, not only for us, but for the two teams because each team seeks the three points and progress in the ranking table.

“We respect Al Gharafa a lot as a strong team, but we trust in the capabilities of our players and their energy on the field. We will give everything we have to achieve the desired result and, as I always say, we will do everything on the field for the best result.

“We must be fully focused and ready, and every match has its own circumstances and minute details, especially since the matches between Umm Salal and Al Gharafa are always strong,” sasid Wesam.

Umm Salal player Yousef Omar said, “We are fully prepared for the match, we will put up the required performance to achieve a good result and we are looking forward to winning.

“Victory puts us in a strong position in the standings, the team’s ambition is to win and we respect Al Gharafa as a great team and all our focus is on the three points.”
