Al Khor coach Mehdi Nafti spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 8 match against Umm Salal.
“I do not look at the standings now and I am only trying to change my team as much as possible as if we are at the beginning of the league.
“I know that our start is not good, but we are looking to the future and trying hard to collect points to improve our position in the standings.
“We work for each match a thousand calculations and we prepare for it separately, and our team is adapting to the new training that I am providing them so far. God-willing, the team will appear in the upcoming matches in a good way and you will see that in the upcoming games.
“We will play our next match against Umm Salal, a strong team, but we worked well to stop them, and I am happy with the players’ morale, which will make the difference to collect the three points in this match,” said Mehdi Nafti.
Al Khor player Abdulrahman Rashid said, “Our preparations were excellent and we know that Umm Salal’s attack is strong, but they must know that we also have a strong team.
“We know the size of the responsibility that falls on us and we must be up to this responsibility, especially since we appeared well in the previous matches and were close to winning, but we are determined to appear in the best way and collect the three points in the match against Umm Salal.”
