Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Umm Salal.

“We have prepared for the Umm Salal match as usual, but we will miss one of our players due to injury, Lukas Kalvach. Despite this, we must be fully prepared for this match.

“We have been keen to take advantage of the break by continuing to work and prepare, but the most important thing is for the Qatar national team to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup,” said Marquez Lopez.

Umm Salal player Presnel Kimpembe said, “I am happy to join Qatar SC and play in the Doha Bank Stars League. The truth is that it is a very competitive league, and I see it constantly developing. I also see that European players are making a difference in the league, alongside the rest of the players in the tournament, and this is a good thing that strengthens the competition.”
