Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Duhail.

“First, I must thank the players, fans and everyone who supported us in our previous match against Al Sadd, especially since we put up a great performance that was worthy of getting at least a point. But unfortunately, there was disappointment in the changing room. We have put that behind us in preparation for the Al Duhail match.

“The current period is witnessing intense work, which is the applicable to all clubs, and this requires us to work more with the administrative staff, medical team and the entire team system in order to appear at the required level and achieve the desired results.

“We know that the game against Al Duhail will be difficult. In general, our work must be based on the way we play and, most importantly, everyone should be at the highest degree of concentration and make double efforts in pursuit of a positive result that will help improve our position in the standings,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Khaled Waleed said, “Al Duhail are definitely a strong team that is always competitive for championships and we are ready for the match especially since the training took place in an excellent manner in the presence of the technical staff and the whole team members. We wish to get the desired result, God-willing.

“The atmosphere is positive in training especially since we are performing well at an increasing pace. But unfortunately, we did not win against Al Sadd, and we seek to compensate for it against Al Duhail.

“Thank God, I am satisfied with my level and I hope to get more playing minutes. In any case, I am always ready to help my teammates and present the level expected of me.”
