The Qatar Stars League (QSL) organized a Workshop and Financial Control Platform for Club Companies for the 2025-2026 season, ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window. The workshop was attended by Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of QSL, along with members of Financial Control Committee, Financial Control Unit, representatives from club companies (First and Second Divisions) and other relevant stakeholders.

The workshop aimed to enhance financial compliance among club companies, and raise awareness of the procedures and requirements adopted within the financial control system. This ensures the integrity of financial transactions, data accuracy and adherence to regulations during the sports season and prior to the winter transfer window. Additionally, clubs were trained on the latest updates and enhancements to the electronic control platform, which connects all clubs to QSL’s financial control system and Qatar Football Association.

Many items on the agenda were discussed, most notably: approved budgets and financial allocations, registering player and coach data within the financial control system, contract organization (creating a new contract, extending a contract, renewing a contract), mechanisms for amending financial annex before and after plan approval, contract termination procedures (contract termination, settlement, cancellation of a contract), loans and transfers, player and coach agents, and mechanism for creating the financial plan.

At the end of the workshop, several questions and comments from representatives of club companies were addressed and clarified.
