Al Rayyan coach Nicolas Cordova spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Gharafa.

“It will be a difficult match like all the past matches and we know that we are playing in successive matches. The most important thing in these matches is to regain fitness and be ready for the next match.

“The loss to Al Arabi in the last round is not favourable for everyone and now the team's focus is on facing Al Gharafa. Al Rayyan are ready and able to continue to work and perform well,” said Cordova.

Al Rayyan player Osama Al Tiri said, “Moving to a team like Al Rayyan is an important step for me. I hope to be responsible and make Al Rayyan fans happy.

“We are preparing for the Al Gharafa match with the technical and medical staff and all the players, and our goal is to win the three points and make the fans happy.

“I thank coach Cordova for the confidence he bestowed on me in the match against Al Arabi. I hope to rise up to expectations in future.”
