Umm Salal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Wakrah.

“The match is very important in view of the current conditions of the team. Every point helps the team and we hope to achieve victory so that we are back on the winning path especially since we suffered setbacks in the last few rounds. It is a strong team and offers strong and great performances, so the match will be difficult for both teams. I am confident in my team's abilities to overcome this obstacle.

“Everyone knows the importance of this match. I hope luck will be on our side and that we take advantage of the opportunities well.

“We are ready for the Al Wakrah match and preparations were like for all previous matches,” said Wesam.

Umm Salal player Omar Yahya said, “The match against Al Wakrah will be difficult and there is no room for wasting points. We strive to be in the highest degree of concentration in order to achieve victory and bag the three points.

“Our preparations were excellent and we are fully prepared for this game, which pits us against a big team in the top four.

“We certainly have the ambition to win especially since the games between the two teams are always of a special nature. I hope we will succeed in achieving victory and collecting the three points.”
