Muaither face Al Sadd challenge in Week 7 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium of Al Ahli club. The kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Each team seeks to achieve victory and obtain three points, especially since both teams are in dire need of victory.

Muaither go into the match in ninth place with four points from one victory, a draw and four defeats.

Muaither will be keen to win and thus compensate for the loss of points, the last of which was against Al Gharafa in Week 6 when they lost by a 2-5 margin.

On the other hand, Al Sadd are placed second with 13 points, the same as Al Gharafa but ahead on goal difference, with a postponed match against Al Arabi from Week 6 in hand.

Al Sadd had achieved a major victory over Al Faisaly of Jordan by a 6-0 margin in the third round (Group B) of 2023-2024 AFC Champions League’s group stage. The Wolves had drawn in the first round and lost in the second round.

Al Sadd realize that the task will not be easy as they seek to return to the top of Expo Stars League standings.

Muaither, under Spanish coach Jose Murcia, will work to give off their best to achieve a positive result. He has many distinguished players, most notably Congolese striker Guy Mbenza, striker Jamal Mohammed, who scored the two goals against Al Gharafa, and others.

Al Sadd will be in full strength after the return of the likes of Brazilian Guillerme Torres from injury, Akram Afif, who did not play against Al Faisaly due to suspension, Boualem Khoukhi and Gonzalo Plata.
