Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Rayyan.

“We prepared well for the match and I know very well that we will be facing a very good team and a high-caliber coach. As for me, Al Rayyan are one of the best teams in the league, but I have great confidence in the players and hope to play a very good match that ends with a victory for Al Wakrah.

“We will play this match at our home stadium, surrounded by our fans. Naturally, we will play to win, and I hope to achieve our goal so that we can dedicate the match points to the fans who will attend the match, whom I hope will attend in large numbers to cheer on the players,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Amin Zahzouh said, “We will be able to continue our positive streak in the league championship during the upcoming difficult match against Al Rayyan.

“Our preparations for this match went well, and I believe the technical staff studied the opposing team well, and therefore we are fully prepared to play this match and achieve the desired result.”
